(CBS/The Early Show)The "experience v. change" argument in the Democratic primary contest is taking on a new direction, with many (including in the media) beginning to challenge Hillary Clinton's claims to experience and all-but pointing out hypocrisy in the criticisms being made of Barack Obama - especially from former President Bill Clinton.

McCain 's Attack Is In The Mail

John McCain's campaign has unleashed a direct-mail piece criticizing Mitt Romney in New Hampshire, reports the Nashua Telegraph. The mailing criticizes Romney on illegal immigration, pointing to a news report stating that Romney once supported allowing illegal immigrants to apply for citizenship and notes that a firm re-hired by Romney to work around his home employed illegal workers even after the issue came up previously.

White House Keeps Quiet On Huckabee's Remarks

(AP)So far, President Bush has demurred when asked about the race for the Republican nomination, saying it's not his job to be "pundit in chief." And it turns out that principle applies even when one of the GOP hopefuls - in this case, Mike Huckabee - is criticizing Bush's foreign policy.

But in campaign 2008, it's starting to take on a different meaning - the ability of a candidate to appear above the fray while engaging in the same rhetoric that is gets others in the doghouse.

The Color Of Money

Libertarian-minded GOP candidate Ron Paul's campaign says it won't return a $500 donation given his campaign by a self-declared white supremacist. Florida resident Don Black, who runs a Web site called "Stormfront," recently made the donation, according to the Associated Press. The Web site's motto is, "White Pride World Wide." Paul spokesman Jesse Benton told the AP, "Dr. Paul stands for freedom, peace, prosperity and inalienable rights. If someone with small ideologies happens to contribute money to Ron, thinking he can influence Ron in any way, he's wasted his money. Ron is going to take the money and try to spread the message of freedom. And that's $500 less that this guy has to do whatever it is that he does."
