Romney, Edwards Heavy Up on SC Primary Spots

Republican Mitt Romney and Democrat John Edwards have placed the most TV ads in advance of Saturday's primary in South Carolina. Since February, Romney has placed 5,257 ads and Edwards has placed 4,088 ads, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

When NBC unveiled its NBC Everywhere stable of digital video networks last week, it galvanized a growing segment of the out-of-home media business that has sought to win over the hearts and minds of advertisers. Some 200 advertising and media execs were on hand at NBC's home base in New York's Rockefeller Center as the network announced the launch of nine digital networks targeting niche audiences where they work, play and shop, including colleges, gyms, sports arenas, taxis, supermarkets and gas stations.

Fox's Giants vs. Packers Matchup Highest Rated in 12 Years

The National Football League's NFC Conference championship game on Fox on Sunday, Jan. 20, earned a 31.7/46 overnight household rating/share, the highest rating for a televised conference championship game in 12 years, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The game scored a 21 percent gain in household ratings over last year's NFC conference championship on Fox. That game was televised in the afternoon.
