Univision will premiere the first ever prime-time Spanish-language animated series on Sunday, Jan .20, with the debut of El Chavo Del 8 (The Kid from #8).

CBS to Air Dion, Brooks Concert Specials

To fill the void of fresh scripted programming during the Writers Guild of America strike, CBS will be airing a pair of concert specials later this month and in February. The network will air a Garth Brooks concert from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday night, Jan. 25, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and a Celine Dion concert from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday night, Feb. 15 from the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

CBS Orders Reality/Alternative Series

With first-run episodes running out as a result of the Writers Guild of America strike, CBS has ordered three new reality/alternative series for broadcast later this season. They include a biweekly celebrity talent contest called Secret Talents of the Stars; a hidden camera game show Game Show in My Head; and search for America��s Top Dog.

CBS to Handle All Int'l Distribution for CSI

CBS Corp. will assume control of all international television distribution for the CSI franchise. CBS Television Distribution has sold the domestic syndication rights for the CSI franchise within the US since the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation series went on the air in October 2000.
