Firms make bids for the demolition of Tiger Stadium

Seven demolition firms submitted bids Friday for the job of razing most of Tiger Stadium. Whichever firm wins the contract would have to comply with the City of Detroit's plans to preserve a corner of the old ballpark at Michigan and Trumbull as a community center, memorial or museum.

Pettitte to return with Yankees in '08

Andy Pettitte decided to pitch for the New York Yankees in 2008 and put off retirement. Pettitte's agent, Randy Hendricks, said Monday that the 35-year-old left-hander had started telling teammates on Sunday. Hendricks then informed Yankees general manager Brian Cashman of the news.
