Scotland Beats U.S. In Playoff
Colin Montgomerie and Marc Warren gave Scotland its first victory in the World Cup of Golf, beating Boo Weekley and Heath Slocum of the United States in Shenzhen, China, with a par on the third hole of a playoff. Weekley missed a 15-foot putt for par on the third playoff hole after Montgomerie tapped in. Scotland shot a six-under-par 66, and the United States had a 67 to finish regulation at 25-under 263. The Americans forced the playoff on the last hole of regulation in alternate-shot play when Slocum made a 5-foot birdie putt.
